Around 25,000 homes in south-east Queensland found themselves lacking electricity on Monday's dawn after powerful weather events passed over the region, generating strong winds hitting 109 kilometers per hour.

Victoria's Climate Difficulties
At the same time, nearly one thousand residents in the southern state also faced power outages after the capital city saw its most precipitation in 18 months.
Emergency response teams received over five hundred requests for assistance across the area, mostly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and inundation.

During the peak on Sunday, in excess of twenty-eight thousand power users in the state were experiencing outages.

Moist weather were predicted to continue along much of the state's eastern regions this coming days as a weather pattern continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.
Tuesday was forecast to be the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity anticipated across various areas of both regions.

Health officials alerted that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
