I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
