Police have made public concerning footage showing a motorist executing dangerous skidding techniques around a roundabout during an unauthorized vehicle gathering, placing onlookers at significant risk of injury.

An individual aged 23 from Southampton received a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for one year, after admitting to reckless operation of a vehicle.
In addition, the court issued a one-year license suspension and mandated unpaid work along with a rehabilitation program.

As stated by authorities, the video was filmed at an unauthorized automobile gathering in Portsmouth on 28 December 2024, showing the individual operating a pink BMW.

A police sergeant commented: “Residents, motorists and our traffic officers have had their fill with these groups of motorists selfishly taking over public roads and parking areas and we will not tolerate it.”
He added: “They are not only a complete nuisance, but they also put themselves and innocent bystanders at danger of severe harm.”
He finished: “We will continue to take legal action against these individuals and I trust these recent cases serve as a caution: you will face consequences.”
