Vince Zampella, Dies in an LA Vehicle Accident
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The influential industry figure passed away following his automobile collided and caught fire on a motorway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his family, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts commented.
